About

The Centre for Analysis and Synthesis (CAS) is working with research questions that are fundamental in their nature and can contribute to a more sustainable future. Our research focus is health, materials for energy efficiency, green chemistry and environmental chemistry

Our core competences are within molecular design and synthesis, organic and inorganic material synthesis, chemical analysis and structure and morphology analysis, both in solution and the solid state.

The Centre for Analysis and Synthesis belongs to both the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering and we teach students from both faculties. Thus, we are responsible for teaching the core subjects of general, analytical, inorganic, materials, polymer and organic chemistry from undergraduate to doctorate level.
