Inorganic Chemistry

The coordination chemistry of metals is the overall theme for research in inorganic chemistry.

There is a particular focus on organometallic chemistry and activation of small molecules. Inorganic chemistry is an interdisciplinary discipline and metal complexes take part in many essential biological processes and as catalysts in industrial and synthetic processes.

In addition, inorganic chemistry has strong connections to the research area Materials Chemistry.
